Xavier Becerra has actual governing experience. Tom Steyer has never held elected office and is trying to buy this election.

Built his entire career defending working people, immigrants, and families
His resume was earned, not purchased
Steyer:
Never held elected office. Not one day in government. Ever.
Ran for president in 2020, spent $250 million, won zero delegates, dropped out after losing three straight contests.
Now wants to run the world’s fifth largest economy with zero governing experience
His qualification is his checkbook. That is not enough.

Einstein radically changed physics while he was a Swiss patent clerk, not an experienced physicist. Experience counts for something, but certainly not everything.
Meanwhile: Becerra donor PG&E's electricity is 35% more expensive than SMUD, and PG&E's executives have attorneys on speed dial in case they face charges of negligent homicide for incidents like blowing up a residential neighborhood in San Bruno, and burning down the ironically-named town of Paradise. Publicly-owned SMUD doesn't need to skimp on maintenance to goose profits like PG&E. (In fairness, Steyer says he wants competition to cure the price disparity, but that's not too likely for natural monopolies like utilities. Public ownership would work better.)
Becerra's donations include the following (quoted from X.com):
— $4,500,000 from the healthcare industry to oppose single payer
— $1,000,000 from Chevron and Big Oil to keep gas prices high and increase oil drilling
— $700,000 from private ambulance companies to rip patients off
— $300,000 from Big Pharma to keep drug prices high
How committed is Becerra to corporate D's, as opposed to his own constituents? In 2016, as a superdelegate, he voted for Hillary Clinton in the Democratic convention, even though Bernie won his home district (CA-34). We could be charitable and say he thought he was making a political calculation, backing a winner rather than someone certain to lose, but that's a bit too charitable for me.
Thank you for the repose. The X.com link does not open on my computer. I see your campaign against P G & E. But, PG & E is not on the ballot. Becerra is. In your list of contributions. It is unclear. Are these alleged contributions to the Becerra campaign ? Or, are they the contributions to the anti _ Steyer campaign financed by several corporations. Steyer's corporate profiteering comes from several very seemly corporations, distressed resisdential housing, development of corporate owned prisons, etc.
