Further, to say that a continuation of those principles should be eschewed in favor of a more secular view on the Constitution is foolhardy and ignorant, at best.

I believe the problem YOU have, Dr. Palermo, is that Beck CONNECTS with his audience! He presents the facts to a number of people you could NEVER hope to influence. He also presents HIS interpretation of events as HE believes them...sound familiar? You do the exact same things within the purview of YOUR worldview...no different from Beck.

I believe you and others have a certain level of disdain for Beck because you are jealous. He never received a Doctorate from some august body. He didn't slog through copious amounts of mind-numbing crap to try and be "original" or "engaging" on some obscure topic that no one really cares about to earn the title of "Doctor of History".

No...all Beck has done is taken the medium he has been given to give HIS side of history...and that resonates with millions, and it drives you and some of your brethren absolutely crazy!

I, personally, don't accept all of what Beck presents at face value. In fact, I try and take anything he says with a grain of salt and more than a pinch of discernment, if not solely because he IS, first and foremost, an ENTERTAINER.

However, I know more than a few folks...us commoners who, instead of spending decades in Academia, actually had to do things like get jobs or serve 20 years in the military, who are now very interested in history, politics, and the process of each, due in no small part to people like Glenn Beck.

If you ask me, you should be thanking Beck for spurring just such a resurgence in history and politics...maybe, in the long run, it will keep both historians and politicians, more honest and accountable.Raging Tigerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13545167060030047287noreply@blogger.com
